THE FUTURE OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography and image-making technology is reaching out in many new directions at once and at speed. Digital cameras no longer just provide easier ways to make traditional photos. Chris and Jeremiah hold the fort while Adrian is still away, and things get only mildly apocalyptic: a surprise Google Earth feature briefly let people generate fake satellite imagery, prompting a lively chat about whether photography’s last “trust me, I was there” refuge has now joined the AI slop era. Along the way they poke at truth, metadata, satellites, politics, and why maybe the unexamined photo is the one truly in trouble—before lightening the mood with a slick Obsbot camera and a camera battery that secretly doubles as an AirTag, because apparently even batteries now have a plot.
